For A safe and thriving Woodland Heights
Who We ARe
We are a grassroots group of parents, neighbors and friends who champion a safe and thriving community for all Houstonians, starting with our own neighborhood here in Woodland Heights.
AdvocatING for Justice
Moms Demand Safety (MDS) was formed in response to a tragic incident on January 27, 2025, when a 7-year-old girl was assaulted while walking home from school in our neighborhood. After uncovering that the perpetrator is a convicted sex offender with a history of targeting children, we are actively working to ensure justice is served and to prevent such incidents from happening again in our community.

Our Vision
We aim to create a thriving, safe community through grassroots efforts, starting in Woodland Heights but with a vision to positively impact the broader Houston area.
We are just getting started.
